Location. Pool. Price.
holes in sheets, early check out,
Close to friends and relatives, easy to get to all areas we were interested in visiting.
Rooms too small, and except for handicapped rooms thresholds too high for my wife to negoiate.
It was clean and the Wifi worked very good
The room was not clean. Condom wrappers under the bed and other trash Kids always find these things. Continental breakfast was poor and extremely miserly. No milk only powder for coffee and the offered muffins were cut into quarters. Besides the shelf was kept empty. You had to wait or ask. A Patel chain motel is always iffy I've learned
We had booked a Whale Watching trip for the next morning and wanted an inexpensive place to stay. The El Castell fit our needs perfectly. It appears to have been fairly recently remodeled. The room was large with side furniture and included a refrigerator and microwave. The facility is clean and while not within walking distance of anything but the fairgrounds it is centrally located. For being so close to both Highway One and on fairly busy streets the rooms are remarkably quiet.
There was some problem with the heater that caused it to quickly go on and off during the night. We turned it off. There was no coffee maker in the room and coffee was not available in the lobby until 7:00 - a minor inconvenience.
Great beds, good price. Plenty of parking. Pretty fast wifi. Pretty quiet.
No means to make tea or coffee, only a microwave in room. Breakfast seemed plastic, advice to eat it elsewhere.
Cheap and clean. Good staff!
Breakfast could be little more choice.
It was quiet and clean the breakfast is typical it consisted of waffles and danish and cereal.
I enjoyed the hotel very much when we checked in the motel was full and it was still quiet.
It was clean, spacious, not far from Cannery Row, the Aquarium, and the pool is heated.
Breakfast ends at 9:30.
Great breakfast, indoor pool was fun. Remodeled.
Stuffy rooms. They were remodeled and looked fresh but still smelled old.
very economical, safe, clean, quiet
Continental breakfast all sugar items. Suggestion: provide some plain cheerios so people like me, kids, and diabetics have something to eat that's low in sugar. Thanks
the room had everything you need...bed comfortable!! Pleasant friendly staff...
I was in room 126...right next to the wash and dryer room for the hotel...very noisy, seemed like they did laundry all night long!!!! The single girl next to me/extremely loud music 'til about 12:30 am brfore it got quiet!!!
I like the room it was clean and very cozy.
It was a reasonably priced motel close Monterey attractions and close to major highways for dat trips. The room appeared to have been redone recently and compared favorably to more expensive accomodations.
The last night I was there either a stereo or band were playing within earshot. The bass was thumping late.
free park, near restaurant and shop, nice budget,
